High-frequency magnetic and microwave absorption properties of planar anisotropy Ce2(Fe0.7Co0.3)17 particles/paraffin composite

Popis: The high-frequency magnetic and microwave absorption properties of rare earth-3d intermetallic compounds Ce2(Fe0.7Co0.3)17 (Th2Zn17-type) have been studied. Not only does it keep the same c-plane anisotropy as Ce2Fe17, but also Ce2(Fe0.7Co0.3)17 has a higher saturation magnetization ( M s=143.9 emu/g) and a higher Curie temperature ( T c = 450 K). The high frequency properties of paraffin composites with 30% volume concentration of particles are measured using vector network analyzer. Compared with the uniaxial composite, the planar ones have a higher resonant frequency and microwave permeability. In addition, a minimum RL value of -35 dB is observed at 2.3 GHz on the specimen with the marching thickness 4.7 mm.
