Popis: | Due to the increasing penetration level of distributed energy resources (DER), especially photovoltaic (PV) systems, the IEEE 1547 standard was revised to attend the utility owners claim of voltage and frequency support from DER. The 2018 revision of the IEEE 1547 Standard stipulates that PVs should support to the utility when voltage or frequency abnormalities occurs, ride-through those events. This new requirement increases the non-detection zone (NDZ) area of the available anti-islanding methods, therefore, increasing the possibility of unintentional islanding due to anti-islanding algorithm failure. Therefore, it is critical to review the available common local anti-islanding protection methods to analyze and compare their performance in terms of NDZ, advantages and disadvantages to infer which method or methods are more suitable in light of the new IEEE 1547-2018 standard requirements. |
