Using the Marcus Inverted Region for Rectification in Donor−Bridge−Acceptor 'Wire' Assemblies

Popis: We examine the properties of a system in which a hopping mechanism can exploit the nuclear factors, along with the field resulting from the applied voltage, to control the current through a donor−bridge−acceptor (D−B−A) system inserted between two metal electrodes. We find that, by utilizing D/A couples with small λ values, switching can be achieved at modest applied potentials.
