Popis:	A new method is described for amino acid sequencing of a polypeptide or protein involving Edman-degradation and field-desorption mass spectrometry of its constituent peptides in mixtures. The sequences can be sought from the molecular weights and N-terminal amino acid residues of the constituent peptides and the phenylthiohydantoins released in each cycle of degradation using a computer program.
