In this paper, we investigate the differences between publicly available propagation models, International Telecommunication Union (ITU)-R P.452-15 and Irregular Terrain Model, that are utilized for large scale planning against a site-specific model, the Aerospace Radio Frequency Propagation Tool (ARPT). ARPT was developed under the Air Force Spectrum Transition Planl. The advantages and disadvantages of each propagation model and its methodology are discussed in greater detail. |
