Popis: | This classic grounded theory aimed to discover the family dynamics of caring within the context of mental illness. Thirty-seven participants were recruited in selected mental healthcare facilities in southernmost part of the Philippines. Data were generated from in-depth one-on-one semistructured interviews and participant observations. Constant comparison was used for data analysis. The theory of intertwining spirality-synchrony emerged that captures togetherness, termed as “being-one-with-the-other.” It is the merging of separate entities, one distinct from the other but chose to share a synchronous, communal connection that creates a whole, single system that is empowering and beneficial. |
