Popis: | The thermal and thermooxidative reactions of polypropylene oligomer in the presence of α-TiCl3, TiOCl2, Ti(O-i-Pr)4, and HCl were studied. HCl is formed during the reaction of α-TiCl3 with hydrocarbon; the rate of formation is a function of the C–H bond strength. In the oxidation reactions of the polypropylene oligomer Ti3+ acts as a terminator of the oxidation chain and, if its concentration is higher than that of the hydroperoxides, it inhibits the process. Ti4+ (TiOCl2, Ti(O-i-Pr)4) retards oxidation, and HCl acts as catalyst. |
