Implementation of basic MPPT techniques for zeta converter

Popis: India is a country which is blessed with abundant amount of solar energy. In recent days according to research they have found that the fossil fuel energy is in the verge of extinction hence there is an increase in need of implementation of renewable energy and to a country like India it is advisable to implement solar energy based system but the cost of implementation of these systems are very high hence there is a necessity to extract the maximum efficiency of the panel, we can implement MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) methods for that purpose. These systems can also reduce the transmission cost as they can be installed near the residential area which is an added advantage. A zeta converter which is powered from solar panel with MPPT controller is proposed in this paper. This system consists of solar panel, MPPT controller, zeta converter and load. MATLAB/Simulink is been used to build the model and simulate the system. MPPT of the solar panel is achieved by using P&O and ICT technique and their results are compared.
