The clamp repair technology of subsea oil and gas pipeline has been successfully used in China’s subsea oil and gas pipeline repair projects. However, the key equipment research of flange compression sealing subsea pipeline repair clamp in the technology has just started. The sealing technology is the key technology of subsea oil and gas pipeline repair clamp. The common form of seal in subsea oil and gas pipeline repair clamp is introduced in the paper. The sealing structure of subsea oil and gas pipeline repair clamp is designed and the sealing material is selected for subsea oil and gas pipeline repair clamp. It utilizes the finite element method to calculate sealing property of the rubber sealing which shows the sealing structure can completely meet the sealing request under the pressure of 10 MPa, what can provide a reliable basis for sealing design of subsea oil and gas pipeline repair clamp.Copyright © 2015 by ASME |
