Popis: Dentigerous cyst is a benign lesion that involves the crown of a tooth, expanding to the follicle and is connected to the cemento-enamel junction of an impacted tooth. A 60-year-old male patient attended a dental radiology clinic to perform cone beam computed tomography with 3-D panoramic reconstructions and cut-offs in various directions for better visualization of the region to obtain a better diagnosis of the patient, because the patient complained of increased volume in the region of the mandibular body on the left side of the face, and presented slow and painless growth. In accordance with the crosscuts on the left side, it is observed the presence of hypodense image involving the crown of included element 38, giving the possibility of diagnosing dentigerous cyst. The histopathologic examination later confirmed the diagnosis of inflammatory dentigerous cyst.
