Posterior Capsular Opacification (PCO) i s a complication that occurs after cataract surgery from residual cells accumulating on the intraocular lens (IOL). Existing systems of classification m ainly c lassify P CO a ccording t o t heir severity, which is not useful for the ophthalmologist. In this paper, we are proposing a pre-screening system for PCO using image processing and texture segmentation technique. The main objective is to classify whether or not the patient needs laser treatment. |
