Popis: | The feminist perspective places priority on the freedom of justice for and security/survival of women in population-related areas. Since women alone can have babies their interests should be emphasized in the area of fertility. Women should have control over population and family planning programs and policy. Such programs should aim to give women control over their own bodies and seek to encourage social change which would provide enhanced opportunities for women. In such programs fertility reduction would become secondary. Womens rights with respect to fertility should be paramount in the following relationships: between them and potential fathers between them and relevant medical personnel and between them and the public interest usually represented by government. |
