Effect of external noise on the propagation of a charged particle in a one-dimensional system with an impurity

Popis:	We investigate the effect of external noise, which is characterized by an Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process, on the propagation of a charged particle in a one-dimensional superlattice with an impurity under the action of a dc electric field. A numerical solution of the stochastic equations is carried out by averaging over stochastic trajectories. We find that the external noise may destroy the dynamic localization of the charged particle and the resonant oscillations between the impurity and its nearest–neighbor or next-nearest-neighbor sites.
