Popis: | The work here reports sensing of bacteria specially E. coli (Escherichia. coli) by using synthesised ZnS quantum dots as nanodevices, simulate I-V curves and experimentally proven current–voltage behaviour of the synthesised ZnS/PVA quatum dots as mem-devices for sensors. Here an effort has been made to sense E. coli (Escherichia. coli) bacteria by using a nanodevice based on Zinc Sulphide Quantum Dots (QDs) embedded in PVA. ZnS nanoparticles are synthesized by aqueous precipitation method. The as-synthesized samples are characterized by UV–Vis spectroscopy (UV), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron microscopy (TEM). E. coli bacteria are conjugated to the as-synthesized nanostructure and mem-behaviour (memristive, memcapacitive or meminductive) of ZnS QDs embedded in PVA before and after biofunctionalization with E. coli is studied. Almost systematically increasing trend of voltage gap with E. coli concentration without using antibody is obtained for the as-fabricated devices using quantum dot of prepared 0.1molar ZnS instead of nanowires. Observed mem-behaviour is compared with the simulation results obtained adopting COMSOL MP software. |
