Popis:	Conventional clinical tests for neurological deficits can only detect gross changes in sensation. This article describes more sensitive methods that can be used to quantitatively assess eight sensory thresholds. Normative data for each threshold are provided which may be used to indicate neurological abnormality. These methods can also provide insights into the mechanisms of some neurological disorders and may suggest improved methods of therapy.
