Popis: | This paper describes a pet feeding robot which can be controlled from anywhere in the world. The robot features a differential drive mechanism, collision free distance sensing, wireless control, User-End GUI and Camera Vision. The robot hardware includes Arduino Microcontroller, Raspberry Pi 3, 6-DOF Robotic Arm, RF-SPI, HD Camera, Sabertooth Motor Driver and 4S Lipo Battery. Inspired from nature, a reflex mechanism has also been integrated into the robot design to minimize damage, by automated safety reflexes using ultrasonic distance sensor. The four-wheeled mechanism ensures that it can traverse stairs easily. The mechanism provides traction due to its body weight. The robot finds applications in feeding any kinds of pet from anywhere, remotely explore the house for any potential theft and deceive robbers to believe that someone is at home. It also includes personalize daily meal portions, stay connected with real time alerts, know your pet is alright when you are away, stores up to 7 lbs, keeps food fresh and takes cares of your pet’s diet. The robot also enables a user to prevent a pet from eating a specific food while still allowing access to that food to other pets. All these features make the robot user friendly for users having more than one pet. |
