In practice, there appears to be prejudice—or lack of awareness—on the part of some professional librarians who have been approached by members of the Women's History Research Center staff in the course of distributing the Center's three microfilm series. The author details examples of such prejudice and suggests underlying reasons for the same. She concludes that, until such prejudice is overcome, the intellectual analysis of gender roles in society so necessary to changing the status of women will be handicapped. |
