The temperature dependence of the molar heat capacity C o p , m for the 1-1 complex of diethylzinc with diethyl ether has been studied at temperatures T between 13 K and 310 K in a vacuum adiabatic calorimetric cryostat within 0.002· C o p , m . The temperature and enthalpy of melting of the complex have been determined. From the values obtained the thermodynamic functions: Δ T 0 H o m , Δ T 0 S o m , and Φ o m and the thermodynamic quantities for the process: (C 2 H 5 ) 2 Zn(l) + (C 2 H 5 ) 2 O(l) = (C 2 H 5 ) 2 Zn·O(C 2 H 5 ) 2 (l), have been calculated from T = 0 to 310 K. The thermodynamic properties of (C 2 H 5 ) 2 Zn·O(C 2 H 5 ) 2 and (C 2 H 5 ) 2 Zn·Te(C 2 H 5 ) 2 complexes and the thermodynamic quantities for their formation on mixing of (C 2 H 5 ) 2 Zn with (C 2 H 5 ) 2 O and with (C 2 H 5 ) 2 Te, respectively, in the liquid state have been compared at T = 298.15 K and standard pressure. |
