Popis:	A triple quadrupole mass spectrometer has been used to study the reactions of simple even-electron ions (e.g. CH3+, CH2F+, etc.) with acetylene and substituted acetylenes; CH3+ reacts with C2H2 to give C3H3+ in very high yield.
