Popis: This is the first application of the Van Dyke iterative model to noncircular cross-sectional bodies. Two finite difference numerical methods are presented to solve the first and second-order linear equations. Excellent comparisons with Euler model computations are obtained for cones at angle of attack and sideslip. Computation times for flows with planar symmetry are 1.5-3.0 s on a CDC 6400 computer.
