Popis: Successful wood coating involves several stages, including preparation of surfaces followed by the application and drying of coatings. Collectively, these activities may be described as “operational aspects.” “Application” refers to a process in which coating material is transformed from the bulk state in containers to a more or less even and smooth film on a prepared substrate. Application processes are selected on the basis of speed, suitability, material, cost, etc. The operational criteria that may be used to appraise application processes include quality of finish, application rate, productivity, maintenance and turn-around time, transfer efficiency, technical capability, and economics. Application systems are comprised of contact methods, roller coating, and automizing systems. Substrates are prepared by sanding papers, sanding the substrates, brush sanding, and bleaching.
