Teaching language skills in the ESL classroom through programmed instruction

Popis: Though there are various methods for teaching language skills, none of them are sufficient to cater the needs of the growing learners. Realizing that communication plays an important part in encouraging the learners to use the target language. The aims and objectives of the study are to introduce appropriate teaching strategy to enhance lexical resources and enable learners to communicate effectively and judiciously in real life situation; provide intrinsically motivating technique; encourage the use of authentic language in meaningful context and develop imagination and creativity , intellectual , personal and professional abilities among the growing learners. Programmed instruction is a systematic method of teaching language skills with an authoritative and personalized technique..In which subject matters are categorized in a logical sequence of controlled steps with corresponding activities.This is functioned depended on the intellectual concepts of operant condition.It covers both TESL and TEFL as an umbrella term.Both native speakers and non-native speakers successfully train to be English language teachers. Learners work through the programmed material by themselves at their own speed and after each step test their comprehension by answering an examination question or filling a diagram.
