Popis: | A case report of gingival metastasis of uterine cervical adenocarcinoma is discussed. The oral metastases are usually seen in the advanced stage of the disease. The diagnosis of such lesion poses a challenge to the clinician and pathologist. In the present case, the provisional diagnosis was non-specific conditioned gingival enlargement. Histopathologically the biopsy tissue revealed a metastatic adenocarcinoma. The tumor cells showed diffuse positivity to CK7 and mCEA, focal positivity to p16INK4A and negativity to CK20, ER and vimentin. The patient had a very poor prognosis and succumbed to it within a very short duration of one month. |
