This chapter discusses the operation of networks with electronic tubes. An example of such network is presented in the chapter. If the supply voltage E a is sufficiently large when a voltage e near the value of 0 V, depending on the tube characteristics, is applied to the grid, the tube conducts a current i a that appears through the tube only in the direction as shown in the chapter, and the voltage decreases. If the voltage e is sufficiently large and negative, depending on the tube characteristics, the tube is not conducting, the current vanishes, and the voltage has a high value equal to the voltage E a . The chapter also describes a few networks with slow acting relays, built with the help of electronic circuits. |
