Popis: India, with a population of 1.2 billon, is the world's second most populations country of the number, 120 million are women who live in poverty. Since an era, feminists have critiqued international human rights law for its "gender myopia." The core of these critiques has centered around conceptualization of human rights. At conceptual level, feminists challenge human rights law for fails recognize oppressive practices against women as human rights violations. Violence against women is an important public health problem with substantial consequences for women’s physical, mental, sexual, and reproductive health that is increasingly being recognized as a serious human rights abuse. The problem is deeply embedded in cultures around the world, although its manifestation differs from one society to another. One of the most serious forms of violence targeted against women is acid violence.
