Popis: This paper provides a classification of natural classes of functions and makes a case for the importance of properly selecting such function class for the efficiency of calculations, i.e., for saving time and improving accuracy. The authors have devised algorithms for obtaining harmonic polynomials, provided visual representations of such classes possessing varying symmetry types, and estimated the resources required to achieve proper accuracy of calculations. The efficiency of the selection of function classes is convincingly illustrated through a torsion problem for a square bar.
