Popis: | Here we present a relationship between solar energy and sea surface temperature for the months from April to October in a 10-year period (2010-2019). The solar energy data is provided by the automatic weather station Vantage Pro2 located in the meteorological station in Varna and the sea surface temperature data is received from measurements in the Varna bay. A direct relationship between the two variables is found with the strongest correlation for two periods of time – for April-May and for September-October. During the months of June, July, and August, when the change in the amount of solar energy is with very small variations and trends, we suggest that the increase of the sea surface temperature is due to some of its physical characteristics, geographical location of the bay and/or the predominant wind direction, heat capacity, etc. |
