Popis: A new microwave system operating at the second harmonic of the Electron Cyclotron Resonance (ECR) is currently being installed on the Tokamak de Varennes (TdeV). The generator will be composed of two gyrotrons for a total generated power at 110 GHz over 1.5 MW with pulse length up to 2 s. Two transmission lines made of corrugated waveguides carrying the HEn mode will transmit the rf power from the gyrotrons to the steerable launching structures located inside the tokamak.
