Popis: | This article reports on a modern technology for producing high-strength drill pipes with levels of strength up to group M (G-105). The pipes are made of special steels and are characterized by improved reliability. The new technology is based on the following: • the use of a clean tubular semifinished product made of continuous-cast metal; • heat treatment of the product with the use of modern equipment; • induction heat treatment of the weld zone, to ensure that the heat-treated region is of the prescribed width; • the use of efficient and reliable methods of nondestructive testing. Researchers determined that it is also possible to make drill pipes of strength group R (S-135) in accordance with Russian standards and the international standard API 5D. |
