Popis: | The magnetic diagram of the Ti(CoNi)Sn system with the Heusler crystal structure has been studied both experimentally and by the charge and spin self-consistent KKR-CPA method. For the end-point compounds TiCo2Sn, TiNi2Sn, TiCo2-xExSn and TiNiESn, where E denotes a vacancy in the lattice, as well as for the disordered TiCo2 xNixSn, TiCo2-xExSn and TiCo1-xNixESn. we present the series densities of states (DOS), magnetic moments and band curves. The Hall effect, resistivity and susceptibility results for selected disordered alloys are also reported. The obtained KKR-CPA description of electronic and magnetic phenomena in the Ti(CoNi)Sn system correspond well to the ferro-para and metal-semiconductor phase transitions observed in experiments. The analysis of band curvature confirms the Hall effect data. The occurrence of semiconducting and paramagnetic states in the TiCo1-xNixESn series was also detected by KKR-CPA computations. |
