Popis: | Different modifications of palladium electrodes have been tested and compared as pH indicators for single measurements and for titrations. The most satisfactory electrode took the form of a palladium membrane on which hydrogen was generated continuously. A simpler type, adequate for many purposes, consisted of a platinum or gold wire on which palladium black has been deposited. The effects on the electrode potential of electrode pretreatment, stirring the solution, and presence of oxygen, were evaluated. |
