Smart Cane for Visually Impaired Person

Popis: There are approximately 36.9 million blind people in the world. Most of the people were using dogs and stick for navigation in olden days. The limitation of the white cane is that the information is gained by touching the objects at the tip of the stick. In order to overcome the hardships in using the stick, this project is designed using ultrasonic sensors and infrared sensors to detect all kinds of barriers and warn the user with vibrations. This low cost and light weight system design is proposed with a microcontroller that processes the signal and alerts the visually impaired person over any obstacle, water and light intensity indicating day or night through audio clip stored in the SD card to alert the user to prompt action and in case of extreme emergency message about the location is sent to the pre saved mobile number through GSM using GPS technology.
