Effect of surface nanostructuring of high-strength 38CrNi3MoV and 100Cr steels on their tribological and mechanical properties

Popis: Changes in nanohardness and wear resistance of the surface layer and fatigue characteristics of 38CrNi3MoV and 100Cr steel specimens are investigated during high-energy Hf + B ion beam irradiation. The observed effects are related to nanostructuring of the surface layer by implantation of an ion composition, which is studied by transmission electron microscopy.
