Popis: | The paper presents the results of research on piezoresistive properties cement composites with expanded graphite in terms of their application in stress/damage monitoring. The cement composites were prepared by rubbing expanded graphite in order to obtain smaller (down to nanometric sizes), non-porous particles of graphite. The piezoresistive properties of cement composites were conducted under both monotonic and cyclic compression loading. The results revealed that introduction of broken grains of expanded graphite into cement matrix enhances the piezoresistive properties and mechanical strength of cement composites. The study also help clarify the relationship between the piezoresistive properties and graphite content into matrix. |
