Thermodynamics of trichlorethanal, its polymerization in bulk and in polytrichlorethanal within the 0–330 K range

Popis: | The thermodynamic parameters for the bulk polymerization of trichlorethanal for the range 0–330 K are determined from the results of calorimetric studies. The heat capacity at constant pressure Cp0 of the monomer and polymer for the temperature range 11–330 K are studied in an adiabatic vacuum calorimeter, and the temperatures and enthalpies of the physical changes are determined. Polytrichlorethanal is studied over the 220–420 K range by the DTA method. The thermodynamic functions for the substances studied are calculated for the 0–330 K range from data obtained. |
