Popis: Curbing the pollution of surface waters still remains the primary objective of water pollution control in the Netherlands. The Dutch Government wants to achieve this goal by stimulating, among other things, the development of clean technology. A number of projects involving clean technology are discussed in this paper. Moreover, the government’s role in such projects is reviewed in light of current experience.
