Popis:	The pentadienylsilane 9 and the dimethyl acetal 2 of isobutyraldehyde react with high (80:20)anti stereospecificity to give largely the diene 10a, which was converted into the para-disubstituted benzene 11a, having 1,6-related stereogenic centres.
