Popis: Ranula is a non-hereditary, painless pathology characterized by the formation of a pouch filled with mucinoid fluid, often resulting from trauma or obstruction of a salivary gland. This paper aims to report a case of recurrent ranula in a pediatric patient. The patient attended the office complaining of a volume increase of approximately 5 mm in the buccal floor. After detailed clinical examination, panoramic and occlusal radiographs, ranula diagnosis was established. Initially, micro-marsupialization technique was performed twice as a proceeding by recurrence of the lesion. After failure, marsupialization was performed; however, the lesion recurred and remained similar in size to the initial one. Thus, it was decided to perform a procedure in a hospital with a less conservative character and a better behavior control. Therefore, it has been observed that conservative behaviors are not always an efficient alternative in the case of relapses.
