Popis:	This paper examines an example of multi-disciplinary assessment for residential accommodation (Part III) carried out in the Day Hospital of a district general hospital Geriatric Medical Unit. It is a positive example of co-operation between social services and medical, nursing and para-medical staff. Multi-disciplinary assessment was found to be of benefit to both medical and social services' staff. A number of applicants were found to have previously undiagnosed medical problems, the majority of which could be treated. The information provided enabled social workers to make better informed decisions about applicants' needs.
