Popis: | Summary The regeneration potential of axons projecting from retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) is lost shortly after birth. In Nature, Lu et al. (2020) demonstrate that epigenetic reprogramming of RGCs by overexpression of Oct4, Sox2, and Klf4 leads to axon regeneration and restoration of vision in a glaucoma model and aged mice. |
