Popis: | On cooling the intermetallic YMn 2 compound below ≈ 100 K the crystal symmetry changes from cubic to tetragonal. This process is accompanied by a volumetric effect and magnetic ordering of the Mn atoms. The temperature dependence of the incoherent neutron scattering shows that in the paramagnetic state the magnetic moment on the Mn atom disappears. |
