Religious pluralisation represents a challenge for religions themselves and for interreligious dialogue in education and society. At the same time, religious pluralisation has not counteracted ongoing secularisation. In such a situation, our theoretical framework has to be rebuilt. One major stimulus for this endeavour is the new proposal by Peter Berger: “The Two Pluralisms”. As an example for an interplay of religious communities and the secular state the treaty between the Muslim communities and the government in Hamburg is highlighted. Part of the treaty is the ongoing development of the “Religious Education for all” in Hamburg. This model of religious education, the discussion from religious and political stakeholders on priorities of “Religious Education for all” will be traced. |
