Popis: Yield stress and modulus of polymeric coatings on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film have been measured by nanomechanical methods. Yield stresses were found with a simplified version of Johnson's cavity model of elastic-plastic indentation and Tabor's approximation. Moduli were obtained by the tangent method. From creep and relaxation measurements, viscoelastic moduli were extracted with the aid of the standard three-parameter model.
