Popis: | A group of 59 patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria, 43 with evidence of Helicobacter pylori infection, were followed for at least 6 months to estimate the effect of H. pylori eradication therapy on urticaria symptoms. Of the 43 patients with H. pylori infection, 32 were successfully treated for the infection and 78% of these patients became free of urticaria or their urticaria symptoms were alleviated, while the corresponding rate among 11 patients with persistent H. pylori gastritis was only 27%.
