Popis: | The parallel band due to the fundamental frequency ν 1 at 1076.5 cm −1 and the perpendicular band of frequency ν 2 at 451.3 cm −1 in the spectrum of cyanogen fluoride have been resolved and analyzed. The ground-state rotational constant B 0 was measured as 0.3525 ± 0.0004 cm −1 , in agreement with microwave results and earlier infrared work on ν 1 . Other rotational constants measured were B ′ for each band and D ′ + D ″ for ν 1 . Vibrational assignments are suggested for several upper-stage bands superimposed on ν 1 and ν 2 and for certain weak bands believed to be combinations of the fundamentals. |
