Popis: | This paper describes a usability evaluation process, based on ISO 9242-171 standard and inspection methods, to assess features to improve accessibility to information services by individuals with visual impairments. A usability evaluation process supported on a consistency inspection protocol conformed to the checklists provided by the ISO 9242-171 standard together with heuristic evaluation was applied to assess the accessibility of screen readers typically used by individuals with visual impairments. The results show that the approach proved to be adequate for supporting the assessment of accessibility features of the considered screen readers. |
