Popis: | The allelopathic effect of extracts from leaf litter of Betula pendula on the initial stages of ontogenesis (seed germination and growth and development of seedlings) of Rumex aquaticus has been studied in laboratory conditions. A significant decrease in laboratory germination by 1.5–36.3 times, depending on the concentration of the extract, is found. The change in the coefficient of inhibition confirmed the phytotoxicity of the investigated extract. The inhibitory effect on the seedlings at a concentration ≥50% of control is manifested in a decrease in the morphometric parameters of both the underground (root system and hypocotyl) and aboveground (cotyledon) parts of the seedlings. |
