Popis: | A polemic is given regarding the mathematical expressions used by Mohdee and coworkers to calculate the thermodynamic properties of dissolution of 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)butyric acid in seven organic mono-solvents. The authors' calculated thermodynamic properties based on the Apelblat model are compared to numerical values based on published methods used by other researchers. Errors were also noted in Fig. 6 of the published paper for the calculations pertaining to the the Buchowski-Ksiazcak λh equation. |
