Popis: | The prevalence of depression in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) is several times higher than in the general population. The efficacy of medication-based therapy in patients with depression and PD is lower than that of pharmacotherapy in patients with depression but without PD. Alternative methods of correcting affective disorders in patients with PD are therefore appropriate. In particular, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) has potential. Published data on the use of TMS in PD with affective disorders are reviewed. |
