Popis: | As the result of comparative production tests and inspection of the quality of the metal made in Dneprospetsstal' Plant the influence of slide valve refractory part composition on the nonmetallic inclusion content of bearing steels was established. It was shown that in comparison with magnesite ones the use of mullite and mullite-corundum nozzles and collector-nozzles makes it possible to reduce the oxide and sulfide inclusion contents in the steel by an average of 0.2 or 15%. The parts provide the necessary bearing steel quality and high wear resistance in teeming four heats through a single set. The use of mullite and mullite-corundum parts in slide valves in place of magnesite ones makes it possible to significantly increase the number of usages of them in teeming alloy and high alloy steels and to obtain an annual saving under the conditions of Dneprospetsstal' Plant with a refractory life of three heats of about 200,000 rubles. |
